The Amazing Race

Hello Again!

Sorry for the posting hiatus. I'm not sure that anyone will even see this post since it's been so long since I've updated the blog.  As you may or may not have heard, Ernie and I recently raced around the world on Season 19 of the Amazing Race!  Check out some of the fun articles that were posted during the cast announcement:

Entertainment Weekly got the exclusive annoucement!

I never thought we'd ever be in People Magazine. Not only once, but twice!

Thanks to some local support, you can read about us in the Chicago Sun Times and the Red Eye Chicago.

Perhaps the true mark of "making it", we got a small shout out in The Soup!

Hey Cindy,
Just wanted to leave you a message here to let you know that I'm routing for you guys and to keep your head high whatever people say! You have a lot of support from the viewers but I was also saddened to see some racial slurs being thrown at you randomly on some boards and I saw your tweet regarding that. We still have a long way to go re:tolerance!

I just really wanted to give you props for passing on (indirectly or directly) the message that "Love isn't defined by race" (no pun intended). It's refreshing to see that! I am Asian in a mixed couple myself.

You guys have amazing team work and based on your interactions and the way you two work together, it is obvious that you two can be good partners together in life.

When I see you two, you are Ernie and Cindy, not Ernie the white guy and Cindy the Asian girl - same as when my hub sees me, he doesn't see me as the Asian girl etc. Somehow, I still don't get how people get stuck with skin color but hey, don't mind them - some people are bound to be close-minded.

Wishing you all the best and whether you win the race or not, I'm sure it was a great experience! :)

I am NOT rooting for them, and I feel that Cindy is a whiney, bratty child. She acts worse then my 5 yr old and 3 yr old do, combined.

Your attitude after not getting first place, and even some of the other incidences...they all made me cringe. You are a typical cunt, control freak.

I feel bad for your future husband, and btw...posting shit about how you're supposedly famous is considered being an attention seeker. Not many people like you. This is just another reason why I don't like you.

Act your age, and get a REAL job. McDonald's is NOT a real job.

If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it.
How would you feel if someone said the things that you just said to you?
Posting on blogs doesn't mean that person has to be supposedly famous or wants to be an attention seeker. It's a way of expressing oneself.
If you feel so sick watching Cindy then don't watch it, no one forced you to watch it.
Disgusted to see parents being so judgemental against people whom they barely knew.

You were amazing on the show! You and Ernie were totally my pre-show favorites and rooted you two on and was so happy to see you two win!

A nice beginning and ending for you both in the race! Both of you can be role model to the couples out there. You guys did an amazing job in the race. Since the first episode of the show, I was already looking forward to seeing both of you winning this race and finally you guys did it! Congratulations and all the best in life with Ernie! :)
